Stilege Corporation

Stilege Corporation is situated out on National Highway 2. Our place is in the Tejganj area, right near the Burdwan Godown. Because we are so close to the highway, we hear the sound of trucks and cars going by at all times of the day and night. It has a very industrial feel to it. The Burdwan Godown is a huge landmark nearby, so it’s easy for people to find where we are. Our building is a little bit older, but it gets the job done for us. We do work that involves tiles and flooring materials, which is where our name comes from. The office has bits of samples scattered around and there is always some dust coming in from the road. We spend a lot of time on the phone with suppliers or checking what we have in the warehouse. It isn't the sort of place with soft chairs or bright modern lights. It’s more of a practical, everyday work site. We have an old tea kettle in the corner that we use all the time. The weather in Tejganj gets really dry, so we try to keep the windows closed when the wind is blowing hard. Most of us have worked here for a long time. We know the way the traffic moves on the highway. It’s a very straightforward operation. We just focus on getting the orders right. It’s not a fancy life, but it’s what we do. We stay here from morning until evening.
