Al Rehman Agro Farmer Producer Companylimited is based right on the Srinagar Road, near the Astaan Sharief in Kakapora. Our address is number 218. It’s a busy spot because of the road, and being near the shrine means there are always people moving around. We are a company made up of farmers from the Kakapora area. We mostly work on agro-related things, which around here means a lot of different crops depending on the time of year. Our office is a straightforward place where we handle the logistics of moving our produce. We aren't a big corporation with shiny floors; we’re just local people who know the soil and the seasons. Sometimes the traffic on Srinagar Road makes things a bit slow, but it’s a good location for getting our goods out to the bigger markets. We meet up at the office to discuss what we should be planting and how the prices are looking. It’s a lot of talking and a lot of tea. We started this because it was getting harder to do everything on our own. By joining together as a producer company, we can help each other out with the stuff that isn't just planting and harvesting. It’s a practical way to manage our livelihoods. Most of us have lived in Kakapora our whole lives, so we know every inch of the land we farm. This company is just our way of making that work more sustainable.
