Atma Enterpises

Atma Enterpises is right in the middle of Lal-Gang Bazar Baria. We are located near the Murapatty area, which is always full of people and carts. It is a busy market atmosphere and our shop is usually stuffed with whatever stock we managed to get in that week. We deal with various items for the local people here. The space is a bit cramped because we try to keep a lot of inventory on hand. You have to step over boxes and bags just to get to the back. It’s not the most organized place, but we know where everything is kept. During the bazar days, it gets very loud outside with all the shouting and the bells. We spend a lot of time just talking to the villagers who come in from the surrounding countryside. Sometimes we sit outside on the stools when the shop gets too hot in the afternoon. My hands are usually dirty from handling the goods, and there is always a layer of dust on the shelves. We don't have a website or any of that, we just open the doors in the morning and wait for the regulars to come by. The building is old and the walls need a bit of paint, but it stays cool enough in the summer. We just keep doing what we've always done, buying and selling what the local market needs and trying to keep the ledger straight at the end of the day. It's a lot of long hours but the market is our life.
