Evening Times

We’ve been here in Nehru Nagar for a good while now. The office is at 14 Sr Mig, and it’s a pretty busy spot in Bilaspur. You can usually hear the hum of things going on throughout the day. People come and go, bringing in bits of news or just stopping by to talk about what’s happening in the city. Our building isn’t anything fancy, just a regular place where we get the work done. In the mornings, it’s mostly quiet while we gather our thoughts, but by the afternoon, everything picks up speed. The weather in Bilaspur can get really hot, so the fans are always spinning. We’ve got a small team here. Most of us have lived in Chhattisgarh for years, so we know the streets pretty well. Sometimes the tea guy comes around twice because we’re working late to finish the Evening Times. It’s a lot of sitting at desks and looking at screens or paper, but that’s the job.
