I’m the proprietor here at this Reliance retail outlet located at Lachanpur Chowk. Most people just know the spot as Amba Fuels. Champa is where we are, specifically under the 495671 pincode. It’s a dusty place because of all the trucks and cars passing through all day and night. Being by the road means there’s never a moment of true silence. We’ve got the fuel pumps and a small office where I sit and check the numbers. It’s a simple business without any big corporate talk. We just focus on making sure the fuel is there and the staff are doing their bit. The sun can be quite brutal out on the pavement, so we spend a lot of time under the canopy. I’ve lived around here for a long time, so I know a lot of the drivers who stop by regularly. It’s a lot of manual work and keeping an eye on things. We don't have fancy meetings or anything like that. It’s just about managing the station and dealing with whatever happens on the road. Some days the power goes or the tankers are late, and we just deal with it. It’s a practical life out here in Champa. We aren't trying to be anything more than what we are—a local fuel stop for people on their way somewhere else. That’s pretty much the whole story of this place. We've been here for a while.
