Mohanlal Khatri & Sons

Our shop, Mohanlal Khatri & Sons, is right on Kem Road in Bikaner. If you know where the Uco Bank is, we are very close to that. Agrawal Brothers is just across from us, so that’s a good landmark for people who are new to the area. Being in Bikaner, we get used to the heat and the sand blowing around Kem Road. The business has been around for a while, and it’s mostly just family here working together. We open up early and stay until the evening. The street gets crowded with shoppers and people going to the bank. It’s a lively place to be most days. We don’t have a fancy showroom. It’s more of a traditional setup where you can come in and see what we have on the shelves. Sometimes we are busy talking to neighbors or the people from Agrawal Brothers. It feels like a small community even though it's a busy road. We handle things personally. If you call, you’re likely talking to one of the sons or the father. We don’t use any automated systems or anything like that. Just a notebook and some pens usually for the records. The building is older, which we like because it has some character. Inside, it’s a bit cramped with all the stock, but we know where everything is kept. If someone asks for something specific, we can usually find it in a few minutes. It’s just how we’ve always run things here on Kem Road.
