Mahaveer Gs & Company is over at 18/25 on BS Road in Vijayapur. If you know the area, you know BS Road can be quite a handful with all the people and the sun beating down. Our shop is tucked into a row of other businesses, and we’ve been part of this community for quite a while. We mainly handle general supplies, so there is always a variety of things sitting around the shop floor. It’s a bit of a maze sometimes, with crates and sacks stacked up high. We don't really have a lot of help, so we do most of the heavy lifting ourselves. The walls are a bit faded, and the sign outside has seen better days, but everyone knows who we are. We start the day by sweeping the front and getting the stock organized for the morning rush. The local people stop in for their daily needs, and we usually have a bit of a chat about the weather or the local news. We don't use any complicated systems; we just keep track of what comes in and what goes out. It’s a busy life, and by the end of the day, we’re usually pretty tired. But there’s a certain satisfaction in seeing the shelves go empty and then filling them back up again. We’re just local people running a local business on a busy street in Vijayapur. There is always a stray cat or two hanging around the entrance.
