Chettinadu Cement Company

Our place, Chettinadu Cement Company, is over on Ram Mindir Road in Bijapur. We are right on the Front Road, so it isn't hard to spot us if you are driving by that way. Bijapur is a place with a lot of history, but our day-to-day is much more about the here and now. We deal with cement, which means things can get a bit messy, but that’s just how it is. The traffic on Ram Mindir Road keeps us on our toes. There are always people moving back and forth, and we see a lot of folks from the nearby neighborhoods coming in for supplies. It is a straightforward operation. We don't use big words to describe what we do. It’s mostly just loading and unloading, checking the inventory, and making sure the stacks are straight. Sometimes the heat in Bijapur gets pretty intense, so we take our breaks when we can. The building itself is sturdy and functional, nothing too special to look at, but it does the job. Most of the guys working here have been around for years. We know the regulars and they know us. It’s a local spot where people come when they have a job to get done. We just keep things moving and try to stay organized. There is always a new truck arriving or someone needing a few bags loaded up.
