Pranam Industries

Pranam Industries is located out on Plot No. 209 and 212 in the G.I.D.C. area of Kutch. It’s a pretty standard industrial plot, nothing too flashy to look at from the outside. We have a couple of large sheds where the actual work happens, and a small corner partitioned off for the desk work. Being in the G.I.D.C. means we are surrounded by other factories and workshops, so there is always a sense of everyone just putting their heads down and working. The wind in Kutch can be quite strong, blowing dust into the shop no matter how often we sweep. We deal with various industrial processes, and the floor is usually covered with tools and half-finished parts. It isn't the kind of place where you’d wear your best clothes. We spend our days checking machines, making sure the orders are being filled, and talking to the drivers who come to pick up the goods. There isn't a lot of time for sitting around. We have a small crew, and everyone knows what they need to do without being told every five minutes. We aren't trying to be some massive corporation; we just like running our own shop and making sure the quality is decent enough that people come back. The days are long and the work is physical, but there’s a certain satisfaction in seeing a finished pile of products ready to go out at the end of the shift.
