Hatim & Company

Our shop is tucked right behind Shilpa Motors on the Madhapar Highway. If you’re driving fast, you might miss the turn, but most people around here know where we are. It’s a handy spot because the highway is always busy, and there’s always someone needing something for their project or repair. We’ve been operating Hatim & Company from this location for a good while, and the walls are starting to show a bit of age, but it works for us. Inside, it’s mostly shelves and boxes of whatever we have in stock at the moment. We don't have a big fancy showroom or anything like that. You just walk in, tell us what you’re looking for, and we see if we have it in the back. Sometimes the coffee pot is on, and sometimes we’re too busy digging through the crates to even notice the time. The noise from the highway is constant, a sort of background hum that you stop hearing after the first hour of work. We get all sorts of folks coming through—mechanics from nearby, builders, and just people passing through who had a breakdown. We try to keep things simple. No one here wears a tie, and we usually have grease or dust on our hands by noon. It’s a straightforward way to make a living, and we’re happy enough being right here where the action is on the Madhapar road.
