Karmyog Tiles

Karmyog Tiles is located right near the Bhagwati Hotel on the Mirza Per Highway. It’s a pretty good spot because everyone knows the hotel, so we never have to give complicated directions. Being on the highway means we see a lot of different people every day. Some are just passing through and others are locals who have lived here forever. We deal in all sorts of tiles. It’s a lot of manual labor, shifting heavy boxes from the trucks to the warehouse and then onto the customer's vehicle. My back usually tells me about it at the end of the day. We don’t have a big marketing team or anything like that. It’s just us and the inventory. We keep the shop open early because that’s when the contractors like to get their supplies. The highway can be noisy with the trucks zooming past, but you get used to the hum after a while. We have a small desk where we do all the billing and paperwork. It’s often covered in dust from the tiles, but that’s part of the job. We don’t pretend to be something we’re not. We’re just a tile shop on the side of the road. If someone needs tiles for a kitchen or a bathroom, they come in, look at what we’ve got, and we figure out the price. It’s a simple way to do business and it has worked for us so far.
