Sanjay Tea Company

Sanjay Tea Company is located at No.42 in the Industrial Estate in Bhurunga. We are quite close to the Bhubaneswar Development Authority Bainsiria. Being in an industrial estate means things are always moving. There are trucks coming in and out, and the sound of machinery is pretty constant. Our unit is basically a large shed where we store and sort tea. It’s not a pretty place, but it’s very practical for what we do. We spend our days loading and unloading. It’s physical work and you have to be okay with getting your hands dirty. We’ve been at this location for a good bit of time now. The industrial setting suits us because it makes transport easier. We don't have a fancy front office for visitors. If you come by, you’ll just see us working among the sacks of tea. We handle the business in a very direct way. There aren't many layers of management here; we just decide what needs to happen and then we do it. The tea comes in from different regions and we have to keep track of all of it. It’s a lot of paperwork, mostly done on clipboards. We just keep our heads down and try to keep the workflow smooth. It’s a basic operation but it works for us and our customers.
