Mayfeel Bar

People usually find us because we’re right inside the Mayfeel Hotel on Janpath here in Bhubaneshwar. If you know Janpath, you know how it gets with the traffic and the noise, especially in the evenings when everyone is heading home or going out. Our bar is just a spot where you can get away from that for a bit. It’s not a huge place, but it does the job. We’ve got the usual stuff you’d expect. Most of our regulars live around here or stay at the hotel for work. The air conditioning is a big help because Bhubaneshwar can get really humid, as anyone who lives here knows. I spend a lot of time just checking the inventory and making sure the tables are wiped down. It’s a job like any other, really. We open up in the afternoon and stay till late. Sometimes it’s quiet, and sometimes every chair is taken. We don't do anything too fancy with the decor or anything, it’s just a standard bar where you can sit and have a drink. Janpath has changed a lot over the years with more shops opening up, but we’re still here at 751022. It’s a decent place to work. I’ve seen all sorts of people come through those doors, from tired businessmen to groups of friends just looking to relax. We just try to keep things running smoothly without making too much of a fuss about it. The lighting is a bit dim, which helps people relax after a long day.
