Our place is at 119 and 120 Chakeisihani, right near Rasulgarh in Bhubaneswar. Being in the capital city of Orissa means things move a lot faster than in the villages. There’s always a lot of noise from the road and people coming and going. We have a decent amount of space here for Mesco Steel Ltd. It’s a busy spot, and we are usually juggling five different things at once. One minute we’re talking to a supplier, the next we’re trying to fix a glitch in the dispatch list. It’s a bit chaotic, but we’re used to it. The Khurda district is where all the action is for construction right now. We see a lot of new buildings going up, and much of that uses the steel we move. We aren't some faceless corporation; we are just a group of people trying to keep the orders straight. Sometimes we make mistakes on the paperwork and have to spend the afternoon fixing it. That’s just how it goes. 751010 is the pin code if you’re trying to find us on a map. We don’t do much advertising because the work usually speaks for itself. People know where the Chakeisihani yard is. We just keep our heads down and keep the trucks moving out to the sites. It’s a busy life, but it keeps us on our toes and provides for the families here.
