Maa Chandi Cement Products

We are based in Tangi, which is in the Khordha district. Our place is called Maa Chandi Cement Products. We make various things out of cement, mostly for local construction. It’s not just bricks; we do other items like covers and blocks as well. The yard is usually full of grey products and various molds lying around. We aren't a polished company with a big office. We have a small shed where we keep the tools and the paperwork. Most of the time we are outside working with the cement and the water. It's a heavy job and it leaves you tired at the end of the day. We have been in Tangi for a while and most of the people nearby know us. We don't bother with ads or anything like that. People just drop by when they are building a house or a fence. Sometimes we run out of certain items if there is a big project going on nearby, but we just make more as fast as we can. We try to be fair with everyone who comes through. It’s just us and a couple of helpers from the area. We like the work because it is solid. You can see what you have made at the end of the day. It is a simple life and a simple business right here in the district. We keep the cement bags under a tarp to stay dry when the clouds come.
