Gouri Traders

Our setup is at Plot Number 104/299 in Badla Sasan, which is out in the Khurda district. We’re right near the rice mill, so you can usually hear the hum of their machinery in the background. It’s a quiet area compared to the city, which we like. Gouri Traders started out pretty small, just trading local goods and helping out the nearby farmers with what they needed. Now we have a bit more space, but it’s still the same basic idea. The office is just a room with a few chairs and a lot of samples lying around. We spend a lot of time outside checking the quality of the goods coming in. The weather around here can be tough on the storage, so we’re always checking the roof and the walls for leaks when it rains. It’s a family-run kind of thing, so there’s always someone around to talk to. We don't do any big promotions or anything like that. Word travels fast in Khurda, so if you do a decent job, people find out. Sometimes the transport trucks get stuck in the mud on the access road, and we all have to go out and help. It’s just part of the daily routine for us. We just keep our heads down and stay busy with the trade. Most of our days are spent talking to the mill workers or sorting through stock.
