Om Shanti Traders

Om Shanti Traders is in the village of Chandrasekharpur. We are in the Bhubaneswar district. The office is located near the Chandrasekharpur police station and the old pull, which is the bridge. It’s a bit of a trek to get out here if you’re coming from the main city area. We deal in various trading goods for the local community. Our building is just a simple one-story structure made of brick. There’s a big shady tree out front where we sit sometimes to get away from the heat. It’s a quiet village atmosphere compared to the noise of the city center. We know almost everyone who lives around here. The police station is a good landmark for people who haven't visited us before. We have a small warehouse space behind the main room where we keep our stock. It stays relatively cool because of the thick walls of the building. We don't use much technology in our daily work. A telephone and a paper notebook are mostly what we need to run the business. We handle things like seeds, grains, and sometimes building materials for the neighbors. It depends on what is in demand during the season. We are open most days but we always close for the local festivals. Life is slower here and we like it that way. We’ve seen the village change, but our spot remains much the same. If you’re coming by, just ask anyone for the traders.
