Toys General Store

We’ve been running this general store on Kotwali Road for quite a while now. We’re right across from Masjid Shakoor Khan, so there’s always a lot of activity on the street outside. It’s Plot No.12. The shop is mostly toys, but we keep other small things that people might need in a hurry. Kids come in with their parents after school, and it gets pretty loud with all the chatter and the sound of toys being tested. We’ve got shelves stacked high with all sorts of colorful things. It’s a bit cramped in here, but we know where everything is even if it looks like a mess. Sometimes the boxes fall over if we’re not careful when reaching for something on the top shelf. We don’t have any fancy displays or bright lights to attract people. It’s just an old-fashioned shop with a wooden counter and a tiled floor that's a bit cracked. The fan on the ceiling squeaks a bit, but it keeps us cool enough during the summer months. My nephew helps me out on the weekends when it gets really busy with the crowds. We spend a lot of time talking to the neighbors and the people who live nearby. Everyone in this part of town knows this store. We don’t bother with advertisements because everyone just walks in when they see something they like. The street can be very narrow, so delivery trucks have a hard time getting to us.
