Ganga Hardware

You can find Ganga Hardware on Hamidia Road. We are right near the old Alpana Talkies. People still use the cinema as a landmark even though things have changed over the years. Our shop is a typical hardware store. We have bins full of nails, rows of tools, and various pipes leaning against the back wall. It smells like metal and oil in here, which I guess is what a hardware store should smell like. It’s a busy road, so there is always the sound of horns and engines outside. We get a lot of local builders and people trying to fix things at home. We don’t have a computer system to track everything; we usually just know where things are by memory. If you ask for a specific screw, we can probably point to the right drawer. The shop is a bit dark inside, but we have enough lights to see what we are doing. We don't have any sales pitch or anything. We just help you find the right tool and get you on your way. It’s a bit of a walk from the main bus stop, but not too bad once you get used to it. We’ve been serving the Hamidia Road area for a long time. It’s just us and our tools, nothing complicated about it. We stay open until the evening rush is over.
