Shiv Shakti Kirana Store

We have been running Shiv Shakti Kirana Store at Durga Chowk for several years now. Being in Anna Nagar, we see a lot of the same faces every single day. The shop is at Shop No-5, and it’s where I spend most of my waking hours. It’s a typical kirana store with bags of grains and stacks of spices everywhere. Sometimes the bags are piled a bit high, making the space feel smaller than it is. We carry the usual household essentials like oil, salt, and lentils. I usually handle the billing myself while my brother helps fetch items from the back shelves. Bhopal can be quite dusty, so we are always wiping down the counters. It’s a busy spot near the chowk, and there’s always someone stopping by for a packet of milk or some matches. We don't have a big team or anything, just us family members working the shifts. Sometimes we run out of certain items if the truck doesn't show up on time, but that’s just how it goes in this business. We know which neighbors prefer which brand of tea or which rice they like. It’s a simple life, honestly. We open up early and close when the street finally gets quiet at night. The shop isn't anything special to look at, but it has what people need for their daily cooking. Just a local business in the heart of the neighborhood.
