Raju Kirana

People around Arera Hills just know me as Raju, so the shop name was pretty easy to decide on. I am located in Om Nagar, near the 10 No area in Bhopal. It’s a bit of a hilly spot, and the shop is just a basic kirana store where you can find your daily needs. I’ve got bags of rice, different kinds of dals, and all those small household things like light bulbs or detergent. Most of my customers are the people who live right here in the neighborhood. They’ve been coming to me for years, so I know exactly what kind of tea or soap they prefer. I usually spend my day sitting on a small wooden stool, waiting for the next person to walk in. Sometimes it gets a little slow in the afternoon when it’s hot, but the evenings are always busy. I don't use any fancy machines, just a simple scale and a ledger to keep track of things. Bhopal is a nice place to live and working in Arera Hills is pretty calm compared to the main market. I try to stock up once a week so I don't run out of the popular items. It is just a small business, nothing too big, but it serves the people living in Om Nagar well enough. I like the routine of it all, even if it means being here from early morning until the street lights come on.
