Pradeep Kirana

You can find Pradeep Kirana right at Neharu Nagar Square in Bhopal. It is a very busy junction, so there is always noise from the scooters and buses passing by outside. I have been running this kirana shop for a while, and it keeps me on my toes. We stock mostly food items, like pulses, rice, spices, and cooking oil. I also keep some household things like brooms and cleaning liquids because people always seem to need those at the last minute. The shop gets very busy in the mornings when people are buying things for their lunch. I try my best to keep things organized, but when five people are asking for different things at once, it gets a bit chaotic. The shelves are made of old metal and they creak a bit, but they hold a lot of weight. I don't have a lot of help, so I am usually the one lifting the heavy sacks and filling up the bins. Bhopal is a nice place to live, and Nehru Nagar is a good community. Most of the people who come in live just a few streets away. I don't do any advertising or anything like that. People just know we are here at the square if they need something for their kitchen. It is hard work and the hours are long, but it is a steady life and I like being my own boss even if it means I never really get a day off.
