Mathi Kirana Store Jk is right here in Bharat Nagar, Bhopal. It’s a small place at number 236. We’ve been serving this part of Bharat Nagar for a while now. It’s mostly just groceries and the usual stuff you’d find in a neighborhood kirana. We get our supplies from the bigger wholesalers in the city. The shop isn’t very big, so things are stacked pretty high. You have to be careful when pulling something from the top shelf. Most people around here call us by name. It’s a quiet enough area but we stay busy in the mornings. Sometimes we run out of change and have to ask the neighbor shop for help. We don’t have any big signs or neon lights. Just a simple board with the name on it. Working here means you see the kids grow up over the years. We keep some candies near the front for them. It’s a bit of a squeeze when more than three people are inside at once. We just handle the daily needs of the families nearby. It's a lot of heavy lifting with the rice bags and oil tins. We keep the books manually mostly. That’s just the way we like to do it. We don't try to be like the big malls. It's just a local shop for local people. We've been at this spot for ages. Even the street dogs know where the store is.
