Maa Santoshi Kirana Store And General Store

Our shop is called Maa Santoshi Kirana Store And General Store and you can find us on Jain Mandir Road in the Mangalwara area of Bhopal. It is a very old part of the city and the roads can get pretty narrow and crowded, especially near the temple. Being on Mangalwara Road means there is always something happening outside the door. We sell a bit of everything, from cooking oil and spices to small household items like plastic buckets or notebooks. The shelves are quite high and sometimes we have to use a small stool to reach the stuff at the top. It is a bit of a squeeze inside when more than three people come in at once. We spend a lot of time just checking what is running low and making lists for the next order. The light inside the shop is a bit dim because the buildings around us are so close together. We have been in Bhopal for years and we know the rhythms of this street. When the temple bells ring, we know what time of day it is. We don't have a website or any of those modern things. We just open the shutters in the morning and wait for the regulars to show up. It is honest work and it keeps us busy from morning until late evening. Sometimes we run out of things, but we always get more in a day or two.
