Laxmi Kirana

Our shop, Laxmi Kirana, is located at Shop No 7 in Habibganj. We are specifically in Vishwakarma Nagar, within the Bangali Colony area. It is a residential neighborhood, so most of our customers are the people living in the nearby houses. We focus on kirana items, which means a lot of pulses, spices, rice, and flour. We also keep some general household stuff like soaps and detergents. The shop is not very large, so we have to be smart about how we stack the bags. Sometimes it smells strongly of spices in here, which I think is nice. We have been here for a while and have seen the neighborhood change over the years. We are not a big supermarket with bright lights and music; it is just a regular store where you can get your daily needs. I handle most of the orders myself to make sure we do not run out of the basics. If someone needs something we do not have, we try to get it from the wholesaler the next time we go. It is a small, honest business. We know which neighbors like which brand of tea, and that is the kind of place this is. People come in to chat as much as they do to shop, and we do not mind that at all. It makes the day go by faster for everyone involved in the shop.
