Kamdar Kirana & General Store

We are located at Shop No 2 in Arera Colony, specifically near Stop No 10 in Bhopal. This area is mostly residential, so we see a lot of the same families coming in week after week. Our store is a mix of kirana items and general goods, meaning we have everything from loose grains to bottled shampoos. The space is a bit cramped because we try to stock a little bit of everything. We spend a lot of time rearranging the shelves to make sure the newer items are visible. It’s usually just us working here, so if it gets busy, customers sometimes have to wait a minute or two. We don’t have a computer for billing; we just do it the old way with a notebook or a small calculator. The morning starts with unloading the milk crates and putting them in the cooler. Throughout the day, we keep busy by breaking down large bags of sugar or flour into smaller packets. It’s a quiet life for the most part, except for when the school buses go by or when there's a rush in the evenings. We just keep our heads down and focus on the work, making sure we have what the locals are looking for. The shop has been here for a while, and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but it works for what we need. It’s just a simple, practical place to get your groceries.
