Jain Provision & General Store

Jain Provision & General Store is located in the Sagar Home-III area of Sarvadharma Colony in Kolar, Bhopal. It’s a fairly quiet neighborhood, mostly families living in the nearby apartments. We opened up here because people needed a place close by to get their salt, soap, and snacks without driving too far. The shop is on the ground floor, and we try to keep the front clear so people can see we’re open. Inside, it’s a bit of a maze. We have aisles that are probably a bit too narrow, so if two people are shopping at once, they have to squeeze past each other. We carry a bit of everything, from notebooks for the school kids to washing powder for the homes. The light in the back of the store is a bit flickery, but we haven't gotten around to fixing the wiring just yet. I spend most of my day sitting behind the register, which is an old plastic thing that beeps too loudly. We don't have any big corporate plans. We just want to make sure the bread is fresh and the milk is cold. Sometimes the neighbors come in just to complain about the heat or talk about what’s happening in the colony. It’s a comfortable place, even if it’s a bit messy at times. We’ve got a routine down now after being here for a while.
