Gulmohar Retreat

You’ll find Gulmohar Retreat tucked away behind South Avenue on Rohit Nagar Road in Bhopal. We are located in Bawadia Kalan, and it’s a bit quieter here than the main city center. We wanted to have a place that felt a little more relaxed, so we have a bit of space around the building. It’s not a huge resort or anything, just a comfortable spot for people staying in Bhopal for a few days. We get a lot of people who are visiting family in the nearby Gulmohar colony. The building is plot number 203, and sometimes people miss the turn because it’s a residential-looking area. We have a small garden area that we try to keep green, though the summer sun makes it difficult. The rooms are basic but have everything you need, like a clean bed and a place to sit. We handle most of the work ourselves, so you might see us fixing a tap or painting a wall during the day. It’s a more personal way of running things, and we like talking to the guests about their travels. We don’t have a massive kitchen staff, so the meals are simple and homemade. It’s a good choice if you don’t like the noise of the big hotels. We just aim to provide a decent place to stay without all the unnecessary bells and whistles. It feels like a home that we just happen to rent out. The street lights are a bit dim at night, but it's safe.
