Noor-Us-Sabah Palace

We are located on V. I. P. Road in the Koh-e-fiza area. Working at Noor-Us-Sabah Palace means dealing with a lot of history and an old building that always needs something fixed. Being on VIP Road sounds fancy but for us it just means a lot of traffic and making sure the gates are managed properly. The building has thick walls and high ceilings which is nice when the weather gets really hot in Bhopal. We spend our mornings checking the hallways and making sure the gardens aren't getting too overgrown. It is a big property and sometimes it feels like we are just running from one end to the other all day. The staff has been here for a long time and we all know each other's habits. We don't use a lot of high-tech systems for everything because we prefer doing things by hand or using methods that have worked for us for years. Sometimes the elevator acts up or a light bulb in a hard-to-reach place burns out. It keeps us busy. We are not a modern glass box of a hotel. We are just a group of people trying to look after an old place and keep it standing. Most of the time we are just focused on the daily chores like laundry and cleaning the big windows that look out over the road. It is honest work in a very old setting.
