Being on the main road means there’s always a lot of dust and noise from the cars and buses going past all day long. It’s a busy spot in Bhopal. I’ve been running this store for a long time now. The shop itself is just a basic kirana store where we keep all the household essentials people need. It’s not a fancy supermarket, just a place where you can walk in and get what you need quickly. Habib Ganj Naka is a landmark most people in this part of town know very well. Sometimes the traffic outside makes it hard for people to park their scooters, but they still manage to stop by. I spend my days sitting on the wooden bench inside, waiting for the next person to come in. We get a lot of regulars who live in the houses behind the main road. The shelves are usually pretty full, even if they aren't always neat and tidy. It’s a one-man show mostly, though my family helps out when it gets really crowded in the evenings after people get off work. Bhopal is a good place to live, and being on Hoshangabad Road keeps us right in the middle of everything. We just keep the shop going.
