The shop is tucked away in the Tawa Complex, right behind the Bombay Dyeing showroom in Arera Colony. We are part of the Bittan Market area, which is always moving. I handle both the retail side and some agency work, so things can get a bit hectic around here. One minute I am talking to a supplier about a big shipment and the next I am selling a single pen or a loaf of bread. Bhopal has its own pace, and Bittan Market is right in the middle of it. The shop is Shop No 1, so it’s easy to find once you get behind the main road buildings. I have boxes stacked up in the back and ledgers piled on my desk. It isn't the most organized place in the world, but I know where everything is. Some days the phone rings constantly and other days it is quiet enough to read the paper for a bit. I don't have a fancy website or a marketing person. I just answer the door and help whoever walks in. People in Arera Colony have been coming here for years. It is a practical business. We deal with daily supplies and some distribution stuff. It’s a lot of work but it keeps me busy. Sometimes I have to stay late to finish the paperwork, but that's how it goes when you run your own agency.
