Ayesha Kirana Store

My family and I run Ayesha Kirana Store here in Ashoka Garden. We've been at Shop No-46 for a while now. It's a small place, but we keep the shelves stocked with the things people in Bhopal actually need for their kitchens. Most mornings, I’m here early opening up the shutters and checking the pulse and rice sacks. If you live around here, you probably know the spot. We aren't doing anything fancy, just selling flour, tea, sugar, and the usual groceries. Sometimes the delivery guys arrive late and things get a bit crowded in the aisles, but we manage. My son helps out in the evenings after his classes. We know most of our neighbors by their first names or what they usually buy on Tuesdays. It's a busy life, keeping track of all the small packets and making sure the change is right. The fan in the corner makes a bit of noise in the heat, but it keeps us going. We just try to keep the basics available so nobody has to go too far. If we're out of something, we try to get it by the next day. It’s just a regular neighborhood shop, nothing more than that. We stay open until late evening most days, unless something comes up at home. Just look for Shop No-46 and you will see us there behind the counter. It is a simple life but it keeps us busy.
