J.K. Foundry

J.K. Foundry is located at Plot Number 893 in the MIE area. It's a busy industrial zone and we've been here for quite some time. We spend our days melting metal and pouring it into various molds. It is a very hot job, especially when you are standing near the furnace in the middle of the afternoon. We’ve been doing this for a long time now. The floors are always covered in sand because that’s what we use for the casting process. It isn't a clean place, but it’s where things get made. We take on all kinds of casting jobs. Some are for complicated machine parts and others are for much simpler items. We don't have a big marketing team or a fancy website to show off. We just do the work. Most of our customers have been coming to us for years. They know exactly where to find us. Sometimes the power goes out in the estate and we have to sit and wait, which is frustrating. But mostly we keep the machines running and the furnace hot. We have a small crew of guys who really know what they are doing. We have to talk loudly over the noise of the cooling fans. It’s a bit of a trek to get out to our plot, but this is where the space was available. We focus on getting the dimensions right. If a piece isn't perfect, we melt it down and start over.
