Swaibhoj Farmer Producer Company is located in Haripura, which is in the Mandal area of Bhilwara. We use Suresh Chandra Sharma’s house as our base. His father is Balu Ram Sharma, and they’ve been part of this village for a long time. In this part of Bhilwara, farming is everything. We started this company to bring the local farmers together so we could have a bit more say in how things are sold. It’s not a big operation with computers and desks. It’s mostly us standing around in the yard or sitting on the porch. We talk about the monsoon, the pests, and the price of diesel. Some days we are moving heavy sacks and other days we are just filling out forms for the government. It’s a slow process building something like this, and we make mistakes. Sometimes we forget a meeting or the paperwork gets a bit mixed up, but we always sort it out. We aren't looking to become a giant corporation. We just want to make sure the farmers in Haripura don't get left behind. We know everyone here by name, and that’s how we like it. It feels more like a big family than a business most of the time. We just do our best with what we have and keep moving forward.
