Our shop is in Bhopalganj, specifically in the Azad Mohalla area, number 11/170. It’s a place filled with wires, switches, and those little plastic pipes for house wiring. If you walk in, you’ll probably find me sitting behind a counter covered in screws and testers. We help people fix their fans or find the right fuse when theirs blows out. The shop is quite narrow, and we have things stacked all the way to the ceiling. You have to be careful not to knock anything over when you move around. Bhopalganj is a tight-knit place, so we know most of our customers by their first names. We do a bit of everything, from selling light bulbs to explaining how to fix a doorbell. Sometimes I go out to people's houses to look at their wiring if it's a big problem. My tools are old but they’ve never let me down. It gets pretty dusty in here with all the building work happening nearby in Azad Mohalla. We keep a small radio playing in the background to pass the time. It’s a honest living and we’ve been here for many years now. I have a drawer full of old switches that don't even have matches anymore, but you never know when someone might need one. The floor is concrete and has some cracks where I’ve dropped heavy tools over the years. You can hear children playing in the street while we work. We don't have a computer to track our stock; I just look at the shelves and know what we need.
