Ranka Minchem

We are located right in Gandhi Bazar in Asind. Being in the market area means there is always something going on outside our door. Ranka Minchem has been part of this street for a while now. It’s a busy spot with people moving around and vendors calling out. Our space is mostly filled with samples and records of the minerals we deal with. It isn’t the quietest place to work, but we like being where the action is. Sometimes the smell of the market comes inside, which is just part of being in Asind. We spend our days talking to suppliers and making sure the logistics for our shipments are sorted out. It’s a lot of phone calls and scribbling notes on whatever paper is handy. We don't have a big fancy computer system for everything; a lot of it is still done the old way. We know the other shop owners around here, so there is a bit of a community feel. If we run out of milk for tea, someone just pops next door. It’s that kind of place. We handle the mineral business as best as we can, focusing on the day-to-day stuff that keeps things moving. It’s not complicated, just steady. We just try to be decent people doing a job in a busy town. Sometimes the rains make the street muddy, but we just put on our boots and keep going. We've been through many seasons here.
