Hotel Deluxe

We’re located on Station Road, right there in the Netaji Subhash Market area. Being near the station means it is always crowded around here. You have people shouting, vendors selling stuff, and the sound of trains every few minutes. Our building is L-7, and it’s been here for quite some time. I think most people in the market know us. We don’t do anything too fancy. It’s just rooms for people who are probably here for the market or just got off a train and are too tired to go further. We spend a lot of time sweeping up the floor because of all the foot traffic. It’s a simple operation. My brother and I usually handle most of the stuff, from check-ins to fixing the fans when they stop spinning. We don’t have a kitchen, but since we are in the middle of a market, there is plenty of food right outside the door. Sometimes it’s a bit overwhelming with the number of people, but we like the energy. The rooms are small but they stay full most nights. We don’t really advertise because being on Station Road does that work for us. It’s a practical place for practical people. We just keep the doors open and try to be helpful when someone asks for directions. It’s a hard way to make a living, but it’s what we know. We stay here because the market is our home and livelihood.
