Fauji Hotel

We have been at this spot on the Morla By-Pass in Jahazpur for quite some time now. It’s a busy area with all the trucks and buses going through Bhilwara, so there is always noise outside our door. Most days start very early because travelers need their tea before the sun gets too hot. Our place isn't anything fancy to look at, just a regular building where you can sit down and get a meal that fills your stomach. We mostly do the usual stuff like dal, sabzi, and rotis that we make fresh throughout the day. Sometimes the kitchen gets a bit chaotic when three or four groups walk in at the same time, but we get the food out as fast as the stove allows. My brother and I handle most of the work here. We don't spend money on big signs or decorations because the people who stop here are just looking for a place to rest their legs for thirty minutes. It gets dusty being right by the bypass, so we are always cleaning the tables and sweeping the floor. The summers in Jahazpur are tough, but we keep the fans going for anyone who sits inside. People know us as Fauji Hotel, and we’ve become a familiar stop for the regular drivers on this route. We just keep things simple and try to make sure nobody leaves here still feeling hungry. That’s how we have always run things around here.
