A-One Developers Pvt. Ltd. is based at D-45, Shastri Nagar. We’ve been here for a good while. The office isn't much to look at, just some desks and old filing cabinets where we keep all the project details. We spend a lot of time looking at maps of Shastri Nagar and trying to figure out where the next small building can go. It's not a fast process. Sometimes we sit around waiting for hours for a contractor to show up or for a delivery of bricks that got lost. We don't have a marketing team or someone to write fancy speeches. It's just us. We talk to people about land prices and how long it takes to get a roof finished. Sometimes we have to tell people bad news about delays, which isn't fun, but that's how construction goes. Our desks are usually covered in dust from the site visits. We drink a lot of tea and try to keep the paperwork from flying away when the fan is on. We aren't trying to change the world. We just want to build things that don't fall down and help people find a decent spot to settle in. It’s hard work and the hours are long, but we’re used to it by now. If you're walking by D-45, you'll see us there, probably arguing with a supplier or checking a blueprint. It is a messy job, but we just keep at it.
