You can find Satyakabir Bricks Industry over at Sector 1 in Bhilai. We are located at Quarter No. 11-C on Street 11. It’s an industrial sort of area, so there is always noise and movement around us. We spend most of our time out in the yard dealing with the materials. It isn't a clean job, you always go home with dirt under your fingernails. We’ve been in the Durg district for years now. My brother and I usually handle the orders ourselves. We don't have a receptionist or anything like that. If you come by and we're in the back, you might have to shout to get our attention. The machines can be loud. We just focus on getting the bricks ready for the local projects. Sometimes the supplies don't show up on time and it throws off our whole week. That's just part of the business though. We’ve seen the neighborhood change quite a bit since we started. There are more buildings now and less open space. We just keep our heads down and do the work. It’s a simple life. We don't use any fancy technology, just the old ways that work for us. The bricks are heavy and the days are long, but we like being our own bosses here. We try to keep the stacks neat, but when it's busy, things get a bit messy.
