You can find us near the Hanuman Mandir at Sonpari No.2 in Palitana. This is where Vishal Total Building Materials Suppliers is based and where we spend most of our time. We have a big open area where we keep all the supplies we sell to the local folks. It’s a very local operation and we like it that way. We have piles of sand, gravel, and stacks of bricks just sitting out there under the sun. People from the surrounding villages come here when they need to build a wall, fix a roof, or add a small room to their house. We don't have a website or anything like that. Most of our business comes from people just seeing us when they go to the mandir for prayers. It can get very hot out here in Palitana, so we spend a lot of time under the shade of the small office we built ourselves. We have a couple of old trucks that we use to drop things off if the order is big enough for us to travel. My brother and I run the place mostly, with a bit of help during the busy season. We've been doing this for years, and we know exactly how much of everything we have in stock just by looking at the piles in the yard. It's dusty work and our clothes are always a bit dirty by the end of the day. But it's good to be working outside and seeing the people we’ve known our whole lives.
