Vijay Mechanical

Vijay Mechanical is based in Shed No. 21 at the Vishwakarma Industrial Estate. We are tucked away in the Vishwakarma Fourty section, right behind the Chattra Gidc. It’s an industrial area through and through. The shed is where we spend all our time, usually covered in grease or dust from the machines. We handle mechanical repairs and some fabrication work. It’s the kind of place where there’s always a project half-finished on the bench. We have a few old lathes and some drilling machines that have seen a lot of use over the years. They aren't new, but they work fine if you know how to handle them. The air in the estate is often heavy with the smell of oil and exhaust. We don't have any fancy office space; we just have a small desk in the corner where we keep the ledger and the phone. Most of our customers are local truckers or other factory owners from the Gidc nearby. They know they can just drop by when something breaks. We don't do any advertising. We just rely on the fact that we’ve been here a long time. It’s a tough environment, especially when it’s hot, but we’re used to it. We just keep the tools sharp and the machines running. That’s what a day at Vijay Mechanical looks like. It’s simple, hard work. We don't mind getting our hands dirty to get things fixed. There is usually a bit of tea around if someone stops by.
