Shyam Chemicals

Shyam Chemicals is located down at Old Bunder. We are in Godawn-133/A, which is right near Alcok Ashdown. Being near the water means there is often a salty breeze, but mostly it just smells like the docks. The warehouse is a big, high-ceilinged space that stays cool even when it’s hot outside. We have stacks of chemical containers piled up in rows. It’s a quiet part of the bunder until the trucks show up for loading. Then it becomes a scramble to get everything moved. We use a lot of handwritten lists to keep track of what is in the godown. It’s an old-fashioned way of doing things, but it works for us. The floor is concrete and has some cracks from years of heavy use. We don't have a front office with a receptionist. If you come by, you’ll probably find us wearing our work clothes near the back entrance. Alcok Ashdown is a big neighbor, so people use them to find our small gate. The area has a lot of history, and you can see it in the old buildings nearby. We’ve been in Godawn-133/A for a good stretch of time now. Some days are just spent cleaning and organizing the inventory. It’s steady work that keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday. We don't mind the quiet times when the docks are still. We just keep an eye on the gate.
