S.B. Engineering Company

Our workshop, S.B. Engineering Company, is situated in the G.I.D.C. area. Specifically, we are in the West Cost Compound, within the 40 Sead Area. It’s a very industrial setting. Everything around us is related to engineering and manufacturing. You can hear the hum of machines from the moment you enter the compound. We’ve been here for a long time. The space is filled with lathes and drills. It’s not the cleanest place in the world, but it’s where the work happens. We focus on mechanical parts and repair work. The heat from the machines can be a bit much in the afternoons, so we have a few big fans going. We don’t really bother with fancy signs or advertisements. The people who need us know where we are. We have a small office in the corner, but most of the time is spent on the shop floor. We have a couple of workers who have been with us since the beginning. They’re more like family now. We have our ups and downs like any business. Some months the orders are piling up, other times it’s a bit quieter. We just take it as it comes. It’s a straightforward life in the G.I.D.C.
