Hotel Blue Hill

Hotel Blue Hill is situated right opposite Pill Garden. It’s a nice enough spot because of the greenery across the street, even if the road in between stays pretty busy with scooters and cars. We are also right behind the Jashonath Temple, so we hear the sounds from there throughout the day. The address is in the 364001 area code of Bhavnagar. Our building is a bit older and has that solid feel to it. We don't have elevators that work all the time, so people usually just take the stairs. The lobby has some old chairs that have been there since I started working here. We spend a lot of our time answering the phone and checking the register. It’s a lot of routine work. Cleaning the floors, changing the linens, and making sure the water tanks are full. We get people from all over who are visiting the temple or just passing through town for work. The nights are usually quieter once the temple gates close and the traffic dies down. We have a small kitchen area but it’s mostly for making tea and simple snacks for the guests. It’s not a glamorous job, but it keeps us busy and we know a lot of the neighbors. The sign outside needs a new bulb every few months because of the dust and the wind. We stay fairly occupied most of the year. It's a decent place to be for a few nights while you're in town.
