Nilambag Palace Hotel

You can find us at the Nilambag Palace Hotel right at Nilambag Circle in Bhavnagar. The building has been around for a very long time, and you can see that in the thick walls and the way the rooms are laid out. It is a big property with a lot of grounds to walk around. Keeping a place like this running takes a lot of effort from the whole crew. We have people out in the gardens early every morning, and the maintenance guys are always fixing something or painting a corner to keep it looking decent. It is a bit different from the modern hotels you see nowadays. It has a lot of character and some old-fashioned bits that we try to look after. The circle outside can get pretty noisy with all the rickshaws and cars, but once you step inside the gates, it gets much quieter. Our staff stays busy with the daily chores like changing linens and making sure the dining area is set up. We see a mix of people coming through, some for work and some just to see the old architecture. The 364002 area is quite central, so we are close to most things in Bhavnagar. It is a lot of history to manage, but we just take it one day at a time, making sure the lights stay on and the guests have a place to sit and rest. The trees in the garden give a lot of shade during the hot afternoons.
