Bhavani Foods

Bhavani Foods is situated at Plot No 13 in the Gidc area of Udhyog Nagar. We are located right opposite the Vivek Cold Storage, which makes it easy for people to find us once they get into the industrial estate. Our building is a typical Gidc structure—gray walls, a high ceiling, and a big heavy door at the front. It’s where we do all our processing and packing throughout the week. The neighborhood is mostly other food businesses and warehouses, so there’s always a smell of something being cooked or stored in the air. We don’t have much in the way of an office; mostly just a desk tucked into a corner where we keep the papers. The rest of the space is for the actual work. It can get quite hot in the afternoons, but we have some fans going to make it bearable for the crew. We aren't a giant company with hundreds of workers, just a dedicated group of people who show up and do what’s required. Some of the machinery is a bit loud, so we’ve learned to talk over it. The road in front of our plot is usually lined with trucks waiting their turn at the cold storage across the way. It’s a busy, working-class part of town, and we fit right in with the rest of the units here. We spend a lot of time cleaning up at the end of the shift to make sure everything is ready for the next morning. It’s a repetitive cycle, but we’ve gotten into a good groove.
