Unnati

Unnati is located at 194, Seventhankadu, on 6th Street just off Dharapuram Road. This is a residential and working area, so we get a mix of people coming through our doors. We started this place to fill a gap in the neighborhood. We aren't a massive store, just a comfortable size where you can find what you're looking for without getting lost. Dharapuram Road is usually pretty loud with traffic, but once you turn onto 6th Street, things quiet down a little bit. We keep our operations simple. There are no corporate managers or big offices here. Just a few of us who handle everything from cleaning the floors to talking to the suppliers. We like the personal touch of knowing the people who live on the nearby streets. Sometimes we stay open a little late if someone needs something urgently, though we try to keep regular hours. Our sign is simple and the windows aren't filled with posters. We prefer to let the quality of what we do speak for itself. It’s been a learning process since we opened, figuring out what the neighbors like and what they don't. We’ve made some mistakes along the way, but we always try to fix them. If you’re around Seventhankadu, you’ll see us there on the corner. It’s a plain building, but we’re proud of what we’ve built here with our own hands over the years.
