Down in Perumal Valasu West, things move at a different speed. We are based out of the Malamedu Post area, not too far from Dharapuram. Countrywide Home Farms Pvt Ltd is basically our daily life. We deal with the basics of farming and getting things ready for people to use in their own homes. The sun is usually pretty strong out here, so we try to get the hardest work done early in the morning before it gets too uncomfortable. Our buildings aren't anything special to look at, just practical structures that keep the rain off the equipment and the supplies. You’ll probably see a couple of dogs hanging around the gate most days. We don't have any fancy marketing teams or anything like that. It’s just us, the soil, and the crops we are looking after. Sometimes the harvest is great and sometimes we have to work twice as hard to get half as much, but that’s just how it is with farming. We spend a lot of time talking about the rain or the lack of it. Most of the people working here live nearby, so we all know each other’s families. We don't put on any acts; we just show up, do the chores, and head home when the sun goes down. It’s a quiet way to make a living, and it suits us just fine.
