Bhaskar Agro Care

Bhaskar Agro Care is out on 7/4H Anthiyur Main Road in Thalapaiyanur. Being on the main road makes it easy for the farmers to pull their tractors over and load up. It is a basic shop with shelves full of supplies and some larger equipment sitting out back. I started this place because I saw that people in our village had to travel too far to get what they needed. Now, they just stop by here. It is a one-room setup with a small porch where people wait. I usually have a few bags of seeds or fertilizer sitting near the entrance. The floor is mostly dusty because of the wind coming off the road. I don't wear a suit or anything fancy; usually just a plain shirt and trousers that can get dirty. Sometimes my wife brings me lunch and stays to help for an hour. We know most of the people who come in by their first names. We talk about the rain and the crops as much as we talk about business. It is a slow pace of life here, but we like it. The shop closes early on Sundays so I can spend time with my kids. It is just a small local business trying to do things right. We don't have fancy lights, but we have what you need for the field.
